EXCERPT:

PARKER: "Well, Chris, when you say what is the advantage, that presupposes a strategy, and I would love to think that there’s a strategy, as Gene was saying, that this was aimed at confusing people. But I think, in most cases, we’ve seen over and over that what Trump says and does has no basis and strategy. And when he and his cabinet members are contradicting each other in whatever they project to the world, that’s not — I don’t think that’s helpful. I don’t think people are saying, 'Oh, gee, I wonder what they’re up to.' I think they’re just simply not talking to each other. I would love to think that he sat down with Ambassador Nikki Haley and said, 'Look, I want you to say that we’re going to be tough on this and I’m going to be the statesman and same with Rex Tillerson.' They’re saying completely opposite things. Yes, this is confusing people, but not in a good way. And the stakes are so high."
