Biography

Jon Scott serves as co-anchor for "Happening Now." Scott joined FOX News Network in October of 1996, two months prior to its launch.<br> <br> Most recently, Scott reported on Hurricane Gustav live from the emergency command center in Baton Rouge, La. In addition, Scott covered the flooding in Illinois and Mississippi, the 2008 primary season. In 2006, he provided live coverage of Operation Iraqi Freedom from CENTCOM, Qatar, and President Bush's address to the nation aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Also in 2006, Scott hosted a special on the fifth anniversary of 9/11 and his coverage as anchor during the early hours of the attack on the World Trade Center.<br> <br> Before joining FNC, Scott was the host of "A Current Affair," the syndicated newsmagazine. He was a correspondent for "Dateline NBC," from 1992 through 1995, and received an Emmy for news writing. From 1988 to 1992, Scott served as a reporter for "Inside Edition."<br> <br> Earlier in his career, Scott worked with WPLG-TV (ABC) as the weekday evening news anchor, weekend co-anchor and reporter in Miami, Fla. He also served as a reporter and bureau chief for KUSA-TV (NBC) in Denver.<br> <br> Alumni of the University of Missouri, Scott began his career as a correspondent for KOMU-TV (NBC) in Columbia, Mo.<br> <br> -- foxnews.com
