Gov. DeSantis Pushes on Back on False Media Narrative over AP College Courses

Reporter Hi Governor Good ░░░░░░░░ I wanted to ask ░░░░░░░░ about the letter today ░░░░░░░░ the College Board Late ░░░░░░░░ they announced the Department ░░░░░░░░ Education s decision or ░░░░░░░░ African American studies course ░░░░░░░░ they calling it politically ░░░░░░░░ Could you respond to ░░░░░░░░ DeSantis So the College ░░░░░░░░ was the one that ░░░░░░░░ a Black Studies course ░░░░░░░░ queer theory in not ░░░░░░░░ they did that They ░░░░░░░░ the ones that put ░░░░░░░░ intersectionality They put in ░░░░░░░░ types of Neo Marxism ░░░░░░░░ the proposed syllabus and ░░░░░░░░ this is the proposed ░░░░░░░░ so our Department of ░░░░░░░░ looked at that and ░░░░░░░░ in Florida we do ░░░░░░░░ not indoctrination And so ░░░░░░░░ runs afoul of our ░░░░░░░░ And you know many ░░░░░░░░ agree with that in ░░░░░░░░ states we were just ░░░░░░░░ only ones that had ░░░░░░░░ know the backbone to ░░░░░░░░ up and do it ░░░░░░░░ they call you names ░░░░░░░░ they demagogue you when ░░░░░░░░ do it But look ░░░░░░░░ m so sick of ░░░░░░░░ not doing what s ░░░░░░░░ because they re worried ░░░░░░░░ people are going to ░░░░░░░░ them names we re ░░░░░░░░ what s right here ░░░░░░░░ But I and would ░░░░░░░░ just so this College ░░░░░░░░ like nobody elected them ░░░░░░░░ anything they re just ░░░░░░░░ of there and they ░░░░░░░░ service And so you ░░░░░░░░ either utilize those services ░░░░░░░░ not And so they ░░░░░░░░ provided these AP courses ░░░░░░░░ a long time But ░░░░░░░░ know there there are ░░░░░░░░ some other vendors who ░░░░░░░░ may be able to ░░░░░░░░ that job as good ░░░░░░░░ maybe even a lot ░░░░░░░░ So I ve already ░░░░░░░░ with with Paul and ░░░░░░░░ think the legislature is ░░░░░░░░ to look to to ░░░░░░░░ evaluate kind of how ░░░░░░░░ is doing that Of ░░░░░░░░ our universities can or ░░░░░░░░ t accept College Board ░░░░░░░░ for credit that maybe ░░░░░░░░ do others And then ░░░░░░░░ just whether our universities ░░░░░░░░ the SAT versus the ░░░░░░░░ I think they do ░░░░░░░░ But we re going ░░░░░░░░ evaluate kind of how ░░░░░░░░ that that process goes ░░░░░░░░ at the end of ░░░░░░░░ day we highlighted things ░░░░░░░░ were very problematic and ░░░░░░░░ ll tell you it ░░░░░░░░ t just people like ░░░░░░░░ saying that Across the ░░░░░░░░ spectrum people were saying ░░░░░░░░ like you know this ░░░░░░░░ is junk Why Don ░░░░░░░░ We just do and ░░░░░░░░ the things that matter ░░░░░░░░ is it always someone ░░░░░░░░ to try to jam ░░░░░░░░ agenda down our throats ░░░░░░░░
