Gov. DeWine: The Bible Says to ‘Love Your Fellowman,’ We Can Show It By Wearing a Mask

RUSH TRANSCRIPT People s ░░░░░░░░ sense of judgment and ░░░░░░░░ for their fellow citizens ░░░░░░░░ you hear that young ░░░░░░░░ say he s not ░░░░░░░░ a mask because the ░░░░░░░░ isn t wearing a ░░░░░░░░ obviously the president all ░░░░░░░░ people around the president ░░░░░░░░ wearing masks So he ░░░░░░░░ not wearing a mask ░░░░░░░░ know because I guess ░░░░░░░░ feels he doesn t ░░░░░░░░ to What do you ░░░░░░░░ to people in your ░░░░░░░░ to try to get ░░░░░░░░ to wear masks Well ░░░░░░░░ say that they should ░░░░░░░░ masks And first of ░░░░░░░░ Anderson one of the ░░░░░░░░ that I think we ░░░░░░░░ going for us this ░░░░░░░░ weekend was the first ░░░░░░░░ that our restaurants were ░░░░░░░░ inside and that our ░░░░░░░░ were open inside I ░░░░░░░░ Very good reports back ░░░░░░░░ there was a few ░░░░░░░░ but by and large ░░░░░░░░ good And everybody who ░░░░░░░░ in any business retail ░░░░░░░░ manufacturing in Ohio today ░░░░░░░░ wearing a mask What ░░░░░░░░ re urging people to ░░░░░░░░ is when they re ░░░░░░░░ in public with other ░░░░░░░░ when they go into ░░░░░░░░ store we re urging ░░░░░░░░ to wear a mask ░░░░░░░░ kind of the way ░░░░░░░░ explained it today was ░░░░░░░░ this is about loving ░░░░░░░░ fellow human being You ░░░░░░░░ the instruction is as ░░░░░░░░ as The Bible You ░░░░░░░░ supposed to love your ░░░░░░░░ man and woman And ░░░░░░░░ s what we re ░░░░░░░░ doing I think that ░░░░░░░░ the message that you ░░░░░░░░ not wearing it so ░░░░░░░░ for yourself as you ░░░░░░░░ wearing it for that ░░░░░░░░ that you re going ░░░░░░░░ come in contact with ░░░░░░░░ I think the thing ░░░░░░░░ the science part of ░░░░░░░░ science behind this is ░░░░░░░░ have so many people ░░░░░░░░ found who are walking ░░░░░░░░ they have absolutely no ░░░░░░░░ They don t have ░░░░░░░░ clue they have this ░░░░░░░░ they do in fact ░░░░░░░░ it And that s ░░░░░░░░ it s so important ░░░░░░░░ think that we just ░░░░░░░░ that that person we ░░░░░░░░ coming in contact with ░░░░░░░░ they have it and ░░░░░░░░ should assume we have ░░░░░░░░ And if we both ░░░░░░░░ the mask that gives ░░░░░░░░ some added protection in ░░░░░░░░ in addition to that ░░░░░░░░ eight feet distancing You ░░░░░░░░ talked about this yourself ░░░░░░░░ wearing a mask is ░░░░░░░░ about Politics that it ░░░░░░░░ about protecting people And ░░░░░░░░ think that s such ░░░░░░░░ important point The idea ░░░░░░░░ now this line is ░░░░░░░░ of being drawn between ░░░░░░░░ a mask is somehow ░░░░░░░░ you re giving in ░░░░░░░░ political correctness as opposed ░░░░░░░░ caring about the health ░░░░░░░░ your fellow human beings ░░░░░░░░ fellow citizens and your ░░░░░░░░ countrymen and women But ░░░░░░░░ idea that it s ░░░░░░░░ politicized the act of ░░░░░░░░ a mask is politicized ░░░░░░░░ I mean just from ░░░░░░░░ rational public health standpoint ░░░░░░░░ just seems such a ░░░░░░░░ thing in the midst ░░░░░░░░ a pandemic We had ░░░░░░░░ doctors today at my ░░░░░░░░ conference that came in ░░░░░░░░ Skype and both of ░░░░░░░░ had had the Coronavirus ░░░░░░░░ one very very seriously ░░░░░░░░ the hospital for well ░░░░░░░░ a month Just horrible ░░░░░░░░ I ll paraphrase what ░░░░░░░░ said But he talked ░░░░░░░░ what he went through ░░░░░░░░ what they did to ░░░░░░░░ to help him breathe ░░░░░░░░ he says you know ░░░░░░░░ you think wearing a ░░░░░░░░ is something that s ░░░░░░░░ you ought to try ░░░░░░░░ I went through He ░░░░░░░░ wearing a mask is ░░░░░░░░ And I thought that ░░░░░░░░ you know pretty apt ░░░░░░░░ s a man who ░░░░░░░░ through it His wife ░░░░░░░░ through it They suffered ░░░░░░░░ this It was just ░░░░░░░░ If you listen to ░░░░░░░░ And so I think ░░░░░░░░ s the important thing ░░░░░░░░ us to remember And ░░░░░░░░ think the other thing ░░░░░░░░ took away and we ░░░░░░░░ take away from his ░░░░░░░░ he said today at ░░░░░░░░ press conference is we ░░░░░░░░ approaching a huge number ░░░░░░░░ number of Americans who ░░░░░░░░ died And that s ░░░░░░░░ absolutely gut wrenching and ░░░░░░░░ But in addition to ░░░░░░░░ we have a lot ░░░░░░░░ Americans who suffered like ░░░░░░░░ doctor did who went ░░░░░░░░ through Hell And so ░░░░░░░░ we look at numbers ░░░░░░░░ sometimes we say well ░░░░░░░░ re only you re ░░░░░░░░ going to be fine ░░░░░░░░ you re old This ░░░░░░░░ was not old He ░░░░░░░░ very active He did ░░░░░░░░ right And he got ░░░░░░░░ sick and went through ░░░░░░░░ for a couple months.
