John Kelly: ‘I’m Not Quitting Today’

KELLY Good afternoon great ░░░░░░░░ be here A couple ░░░░░░░░ comments and then we ░░░░░░░░ open up the Q ░░░░░░░░ Coming into the job ░░░░░░░░ chief of staff I ░░░░░░░░ decided not to do ░░░░░░░░ much with the press ░░░░░░░░ I get my feet ░░░░░░░░ the ground and figure ░░░░░░░░ what base I was ░░░░░░░░ on any given day ░░░░░░░░ to this when I ░░░░░░░░ at DHS and certainly ░░░░░░░░ a Marine general officer ░░░░░░░░ interacted with the press ░░░░░░░░ great deal but coming ░░░░░░░░ this job I really ░░░░░░░░ to get to know ░░░░░░░░ lay of the land ░░░░░░░░ have done I think ░░░░░░░░ off the records The ░░░░░░░░ one was violated but ░░░░░░░░ you for all of ░░░░░░░░ that didn t violate ░░░░░░░░ trust from those off ░░░░░░░░ record periods I would ░░░░░░░░ offer to you that ░░░░░░░░ I read it all ░░░░░░░░ time pretty consistently I ░░░░░░░░ not quitting today I ░░░░░░░░ t believe and I ░░░░░░░░ talked to the President ░░░░░░░░ don t think I ░░░░░░░░ being fired today And ░░░░░░░░ m not so frustrated ░░░░░░░░ this job that I ░░░░░░░░ thinking of leaving I ░░░░░░░░ tell you this is ░░░░░░░░ hardest job I ve ░░░░░░░░ had This is in ░░░░░░░░ view the most important ░░░░░░░░ I ve ever had ░░░░░░░░ would offer though it ░░░░░░░░ not the best job ░░░░░░░░ ve ever had Best ░░░░░░░░ I ve ever had ░░░░░░░░ I ve said many ░░░░░░░░ is when I was ░░░░░░░░ enlisted Marine sergeant infantryman ░░░░░░░░ was the best job ░░░░░░░░ ever had had So ░░░░░░░░ things change I m ░░░░░░░░ quitting I m not ░░░░░░░░ fired And I don ░░░░░░░░ think I will fire ░░░░░░░░ tomorrow.”
