KERRY We also strongly ░░░░░░░░ the notion that somehow ░░░░░░░░ United States was the ░░░░░░░░ force behind this resolution ░░░░░░░░ Egyptians and Palestinians have ░░░░░░░░ made clear to all ░░░░░░░░ us all the international ░░░░░░░░ their intention to bring ░░░░░░░░ resolution to a vote ░░░░░░░░ the end of the ░░░░░░░░ We communicated that to ░░░░░░░░ Israelis and they knew ░░░░░░░░ anyway The United States ░░░░░░░░ not draft or originate ░░░░░░░░ resolution nor did we ░░░░░░░░ it forward It was ░░░░░░░░ by Egypt and it ░░░░░░░░ drafted introduced by Egypt ░░░░░░░░ is one of Israel ░░░░░░░░ closest friends in the ░░░░░░░░ and in coordination with ░░░░░░░░ Palestinians and others And ░░░░░░░░ the time of the ░░░░░░░░ as it went out ░░░░░░░░ made clear to others ░░░░░░░░ those on the Security ░░░░░░░░ that it was possible ░░░░░░░░ if the resolution were ░░░░░░░░ be balanced and it ░░░░░░░░ to include references to ░░░░░░░░ and to terrorism that ░░░░░░░░ was possible the United ░░░░░░░░ would then not block ░░░░░░░░ if it was balanced ░░░░░░░░ fair That is a ░░░░░░░░ practice with resolutions at ░░░░░░░░ Security Council The Egyptians ░░░░░░░░ the Palestinians and many ░░░░░░░░ understood that if the ░░░░░░░░ were more balanced it ░░░░░░░░ possible we wouldn t ░░░░░░░░ it But we also ░░░░░░░░ crystal clear that the ░░░░░░░░ of the United States ░░░░░░░░ not make a final ░░░░░░░░ about our own position ░░░░░░░░ we saw the final ░░░░░░░░ In the end we ░░░░░░░░ not agree with every ░░░░░░░░ in this resolution There ░░░░░░░░ important issues that are ░░░░░░░░ sufficiently addressed or even ░░░░░░░░ at all But we ░░░░░░░░ not in good conscience ░░░░░░░░ a resolution that condemns ░░░░░░░░ and incitement and reiterates ░░░░░░░░ has been for a ░░░░░░░░ time the overwhelming consensus ░░░░░░░░ international view on settlements ░░░░░░░░ calls for the parties ░░░░░░░░ start taking constructive steps ░░░░░░░░ advance the two state ░░░░░░░░ on the ground.”
