All Republicans in the House voted against the package, two Democrats voted against the package. Let me go through some of the highlights of this nearly $2 trillion Covid stimulus relief. We’re talking about increased testing, increased PPE, school funding, food assistance, rental assistance, child care assistance, also those stimulus checks, $1,400, because if you add the $600 when President Trump was president, that equals the $2,000 that President Biden promised. The two Democrats voting against the plan, Kurt Schrader from Oregon and Jared Golden from Maine. Now, Golden from Maine put out this statement, I want to read it in part: 'Unfortunately, the path congressional leaders have chosen goes far beyond these key provisions to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. After supporting $4 trillion in emergency Covid relief in 2020, I won’t support trillions more in funding that is poorly targeted or in many cases not necessary at this moment in time.'”
