Hume: ‘The Kavanaugh Case Seems To Have Awakened a Lot of Republicans’

‘And a lot of those races are looking better’

RUSH EXCERPT:

HUME: “The atmosphere of the Senate has improved some, at least, since the Kavanaugh hearings. There was a dearth of Republican enthusiasm, as there is often in midterms, that doesn’t apply to the Democrats who seem to have plenty of it. But the Kavanaugh case seems to have awakened a lot of Republicans, and a lot of those races are looking better. The map with only a third of the Senate is up, and overwhelming number, three times as many democratics seats are up as Republicans. A number in states that President Trump carried. Republicans have a good map. This may not be the best atmosphere for them, but their chances of holding onto the Senate look ready decent at this time. A whole other matter in the house, where all the Democrats need to take control. The average number number of seats that the out party gets in a first it’s hard to believe in the age of trump that the Democrats won’t get the average, after all, the antipathy towards him is extremely intense, and this is Democrats’ a first crack at a ballot box since the 2016 elections.”
