MCENANY: "Make no mistake, Republicans are scarily focused on tax cuts. The president met with lawmakers today. He is an active president, unlike President Obama who never picked up the phone to make those calls. That's happening. We're on a path to get this done before Christmas. It is exciting. We're not going to be distracted by gimmicky games by Democrats. We need a budget that has to happen. We don't want to see a government shutdown, meantime we're not going to allow their games to distract us from taxes."
