Susan Collins: ‘It Was a Very Difficult Decision’ to Not Run for Governor

‘It was a very difficult decision’

EXCERPT:

BRZEZINSKI: "So what was behind the decision to stay in?"
COLLINS: "It was a very difficult decision. But in the end, I decided that the issues right now in Washington are so consequential."
BRZEZINSKI: "Yeah."
COLLINS: "They’re so huge. And I am a person who likes to work across the aisle and build bipartisan coalitions, and that’s what I decided I wanted to do. In the end, it came down to where I could do more for my state and my country."
